The Crowdfunding Campaign

In June 2018, we run our first Crowdfunding Campaign under the title

#SAVEYOURSTORY

This is also a chance to celebrate stories and an opportunity to provide you with a taste of the STORY FOR FOOD project.

We will have a STORY VAN for story recordings and listening sessions, several story related events around the city and a network of different establishments around Berlin accepting stories for a selection of goods and services (STORY ECONOMY model).

All the perks we offer are related to our activities and by becoming our backer, you can experience how stories can be transformed into different entities like food, art objects, songs and music.

Our wish is to make you part of our community, encourage you to share your stories and to listen to stories of strangers. Come by to meet us and get involved!

THE STORY VAN

Between 6-13 June, you will find our STORY VAN at FIT (Freie Internationale Tankstelle, Schwedter Str. 262, Berlin 10119) and between 14-30 June at ACUD MACHT NEU (Veteranenstraße 21, Berlin 10119)

The van is a donation of the visual artist Ann Schomburg and the art residency “The Idle Mobile”.

During the campaign the idle mobile becomes a STORY VAN : an intimate space for story sharing, an audio studio to be used for story recordings and listening sessions. It will also mark a performative space around it, hosting concerts and story related events from storytelling workshops to story cinema, story readings and live storytelling nights.

THE STORY ECONOMY

In partnership with different establishments around Berlin: cinemas, coffee shops, theatres and libraries, our STORY ECONOMY model will allow for people to exchange their story for a selection of goods and services.

When you record a story during the campaign period, you can choose from a variety of tokens as an exchange, corresponding to a number of goods and services around the city: free coffees, reduced cinema tickets, free memberships etc
